INTRODUCTION:

The 7th annual Las Vegas Jewish Film Festival is produced by the Desert Space Foundation and the Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada and will be held January 16 -20, 2007 at Summerlin Library Theater and on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at the UNLV Student Union Theater co-sponsored by Hillel at UNLV.

The Las Vegas Jewish Film Festival utilizes the art of film to provide cultural enrichment, promote community collaboration, engage the unaffiliated, and offer educational education outreach to the non-Jewish community by enhancing awareness and appreciation of Jewish identity, history and culture. Everyone is welcome!

Full of quiet, intense moments, the film offers a contemporary version of the biblical story of the binding of Isaac. The incomparable Assi Dayan gives a breathtaking performance as a Haredi rabbi confronting the irreconcilable demands of faith and family. Winner of the top prize at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival.
